Carriage, Handling and Tax Information

1. UK Orders

Carriage and handling is selected automatically by our shopping cart system based on the value of your order, to ensure that an appropriate level of postal insurance is used. Small orders are sent by First Class post, medium value orders by Tracked 24 and high value orders by Special Delivery for 1pm. If you wish to upgrade to guaranteed next day delivery when this is not the default method, Special Delivery is an optional extra. Bulky orders over 2.0kg cannot be posted and these are sent by courier with appropriate insurance added.

Carriage for small and medium value orders (less than 2.0kg) is by First Class or Tracked 24 and goods should arrive the day after despatch. Although 90%+ of first class packages reach their destination the day after posting this is not guaranteed. If you wish to be certain to receive your order the next day, a Special Delivery service is available at a £6 plus VAT surcharge. This is listed on the "Manufacturer: Other, Model: Other" menu in the Product Selector. Special Delivery is available for orders up to 2kg.

In the case of loss (non arrival after ten working days) or damage, if carriage was by first class or signed for mail we will claim for the missing packet with Royal Mail. This can take up to three months or more. When we successfully receive the compensation we will refund you up to the maximum of £20 for first class or £100 for Tracked 24 payable by Royal Mail. If you choose Special Delivery or if this is added as the default shipping method, when we receive the compensation we will refund you the entire value of the goods up to £1000.

For larger orders, over 2.0kg, we generally use Evri that's a 2-3 day service. For offshore areas such as Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands we will use letter post up to 2kg and above that Parcel Force 48 which takes up to about 3 days.

Orders placed before 3:00pm will normally go out the same day by post or next day by carrier, unless there is a stock problem and we advise you otherwise (Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays).

2. EEC Countries

Carriage for small orders (under 2kg) is by recorded International Tracked or Signed For airmail, and goods should arrive between 2 and 5 working days after dispatch. We normally insure the goods up to their full value. In the case of loss or damage we will refund the compensation we receive from the insurance. Low value orders below £20 are sent by International Standard airmail.

For larger overseas orders we ship as two parcels or use courier or airfreight services.

Packages may be delayed at customs, and sales tax or import duty may be charged on arrival.

   
 

3. Non EEC Countries
